Corridor Advisory Group meets for South Halsted Bus Corridor Enhancement Project

SSMMA met with the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) and Pace Suburban Bus on June 7 as part of a Corridor Advisory Group (CAG) for the South Halsted Bus Corridor Enhancement Project. The project is a study funded by a UWP grant, with Pace and CTA providing the local share, to improve bus service along approximately 11 miles of South Halsted Street, from the Pace Harvey Transportation Center to 79th Street. The corridor also includes segments of 79th and 95th Streets that provide connections to the CTA Red Line 79th and 95th Street Stations.  A fact sheet about the project is here.  A related story is here in the Cook County Chronicle. If you have questions or would like additional information about this project, please contact southhalstedbus@transitchicago.com.
