When I met competitive lumberjacks Matt Cogar and Jason Lentz in Lansing the other day, the first thing I noticed was the size of their hands.
I’ve shaken hands with a lot of people I’ve met over the years, including construction workers, other professional athletes and similarly big guys. Without question, Cogar and Lentz have the biggest, strongest hands I’ve ever encountered.
Those hands will be at work in the Southland this summer sawing and chopping through wood when the Stihl Timbersports U.S. Pro and Collegiate Championship Series is held July 15-16 at the Tinley Park Convention Center…Please click here to read Ted Slowik’s story in the Tribune/Daily Southtown.
