Tim Jones grew up in Markham watching his father put on a police uniform and leave the house every day to serve his community. It was his dream to become a police officer, just like his dad, a friend said.
Thurman Reynolds wasn’t close with his parents. He had a temper and trouble holding on to jobs, his girlfriend said.
On Saturday, the two men came face-to-face.
