Work is underway on the next phase of streetscape improvements along Oak Forest’s Cicero Avenue business corridor.

The makeover includes new LED street lights, sidewalks, bike racks and benches along the east side of Cicero Avenue from 155th Street north to 151st Street.

Crews have already torn out sidewalks along that portion of the street in preparation for pouring new concrete…Please click here to read Mike Nolan’s story in the Tribune/Daily Southtown.

The project was funded, in part, by the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP).
