Big Shoes Award recognizes strength of manufacturing in south suburbs

Despite the high taxes, some manufacturing businesses are committed to remaining in the south suburbs. The region has advantages over other areas, including rail and interstate highway access and the opportunity to hire employees from a large pool of well-educated and skilled candidates.
