In an effort educate businesses, governmental agencies, schools and consumers about Propane, South Shore Clean Cities is working with the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (NIRPC), the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association (SSMMA) and the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) to offer a free Propane Green Fleet Forum on August 19th, 2015 at the Gary International Airport in Gary, Indiana. This FREE event will feature national and local speakers who will highlight the features of propane and will suggest procedures for safely utilizing propane for fleets in the Chicagoland area. Propane fueled vehicles from across Indiana/Illinois will be on display and available for ride n drive opportunities.
Panelists will discuss topics including new OEM vehicles and equipment, aftermarket conversions, refueling infrastructure, alternative fuel regulations, and fleet management. Bonus sessions will highlight fast-growing alternative fuel markets such as propane-powered schools buses, and propane-powered mowers, and forklifts.
The Green Fleet Forum’s offer private and public fleets offer several educational tracks from industry experts and government agencies a unique experience with propane and more. Hands-on real world applications of alternative fuel infrastructure and equipment demonstrations including a one of a kind vehicle “Ride & Drive” at the Gary International Airport!
