A project to extend 191st Street in Tinley Park east of Harlem Avenue and linking it with Oak Park Avenue could help push forward plans for a large retail development near the interchange of Harlem and Interstate 80, according to the village’s mayor and the landowner.
The village has agreed to pay $290,000 for just under three acres owned by Inter-Continental Real Estate and Development Corp., developer of the Odyssey Country Club and nearby Odyssey Fun World, to push the street through.
