    Illinois Department of Transportation Road Closure Announcement

    The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that repairs to the Canadian National Railroad crossing on Chicago Road (Illinois 1), north of 23rd Street in Chicago Heights, will require a full closure starting, weather permitting, 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1. A detour will direct motorists to U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway), State Street and 26th Street. The work is expected to be complete by 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 7.     The IEPA Section 319 Grant Program is now accepting applications. This program can fund green infrastructure projects.
