The Village of Matteson is seeking an exceptional candidate to fill the
position of Planner. This position is under the general supervision of
the Deputy Director of Economic Development. The Planner shall
promote the development and redevelopment of the Village by
performing professional work in planning and organizing to facilitate a
variety of economic development programs and projects. Solicitation of
grants from federal, state, and philanthropic entities. Also, performs
professional work in the current and long-range planning programs of
the Village related to the implementation of the Master Plan for
Economic Development and Land Use and other related municipal
plans and policies. Responsible for assisting with the administration of
the Village’s Zoning Ordinance and Comprehensive Plan.
