Tinley Park is working on a package of tax breaks that would provide millions of dollars to a company that plans to buy the Holiday Inn hotel in the village.
The company, The Harp Group, plans a multimillion-dollar renovation for the hotel at the interchange of Interstate 80 and Harlem Avenue, and it would also take over management of the village’s convention center.
Tinley Park is working with two local school districts on a package that would provide $4 million in property tax abatements to Harp, although the districts would also see some benefits from the deal.
