Tinley Park to get $700,000 grant for convention center upgrades

Tinley Park is getting a $700,000 state grant to make improvements to the village’s convention center that officials hope could eventually lead to increased business there.

The grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, announced Tuesday by state Sen.
