Tinley Park plays host to Sister City guests from Budingen, Germany

It was 1989 when Tinley Park first began its Sister City relationship with Budingen, Germany, a quaint town of about 21,000 that’s famous for its well-preserved medieval city wall and half-timbered houses. Tracing its roots back to the 13th century, it is a showcase of medieval German history.

Over the past 25 years, hundreds of Tinley Park residents, village officials and business people have traveled to Budingen as part of the Sister Cities program.
