Tinley Park hires consultant as interim public works director

A former longtime Buffalo Grove village manager, who’s now a municipal consultant, will temporarily head Tinley Park’s public works department and evaluate its overall operation while the village searches for a permanent director.

Village trustees Tuesday unanimously agreed to appoint William Balling to the part-time position for up to six months at a rate of up to $4,625 a week.
