The I-294/I-57 Interchange is almost here…

From the August 2014 I-294/I-57 Interchange Project Newsletter:

This fall, the Illinois Tollway will open the new interchange connecting the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) and I-57 and the new ramps at 147th Street in the Chicago Southland – on budget and on schedule. This work is part of the Tollway’s 15-year, $12 billion capital program, Move Illinois: The Illinois Tollway Driving the Future.

Over the past few months, crews have completed beam placement  and deck pour for the ramp at 147th Street and I-294. In addition, permanent lighting foundations along I-57, installation of noisewalls has begun along I-57 and I-294, as well as landscaping and roadway improvements along 147th Street in Posen.
