The Chicago Metro Metal Consortium unveils new web site

The Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation is a proud partner of the Chicago Metro Metal Consortium. The Chicago Metro Metal Consortium is a first-of-its-kind partnership for economic development in northeastern Illinois and brings together a large group of committed partners. Please go to http://www.chicagometrometal.org to visit their new web site.

The Chicago Metro Metal Consortium is one of just twelve ‘Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership’ (IMCP) designated by the U.S. Department of Commerce. With leadership from Cook County’s Bureau of Economic Development, it is an unprecedented collaboration of more than 60 partners, including the seven counties of northeastern Illinois and the City of Chicago.

The Chicago region is one of the nation’s leading manufacturing centers and transportation supply networks. With more than 3,700 firms, $30 billion in annual revenues, and 100,000 employees, metal manufacturers in the region are an important economic driver. Download the fact sheet here.
