SSMMA staff is developing a preliminary Surface Transportation Program for FFY 2015-2019 based on the current status of existing projects. The programming of these projects will require concurrence from project sponsors. To facilitate these project status updates, staff is requiring that sponsors complete a Project Milestone Schedule for all projects that are in the FFY 2014-2018 program. An editable Project Milestone Schedule file can be downloaded here. See July 7th memo here.
The schedule must be submitted along with a letter of concurrence signed by the sponsoring municipality’s mayor or manager/administrator by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22.
If these two pieces of documentation are not received by the deadline, all phases of the project will be placed into the MYB list and the project may be delayed. The project will be added back into the active program only after submission of the required documents to staff and approval by the Transportation Committee.
For your convenience, the Project Milestone Schedule and the list of projects that will require updates are attached to this email. If your municipality does not have a project on the attached list, you are not required to submit any information. The following communities will have to submit at least one update:
Chicago Heights Country Club Hills Crete East Hazel Crest Glenwood Homewood Lansing Lynwood Markham Matteson Park Forest Robbins Tinley Park University Park
Updates may be submitted electronically or by hard copy. Please submit updates and direct any questions to:
