SSC sees manufacturing as key opportunity for job seekers
South Suburban College was notified in a letter last month from the Illinois Community College Board of their approval for a new Manufacturing Basics 16-hour Certificate. SSC rolled out the new credit program at the start of the fall semester, with plans for more manufacturing pathways already in the works for ‘15.
Within the Chicago Southland and Northwest Indiana region, manufacturing companies are expanding their workforce to include a variety of levels of skills.
