GM Agrees to Price Rollover on the SPC 2015 Caprice Police Car The Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC) is pleased to report that General Motors has agreed to allow the SPC to sell the 2015 Chevrolet Caprice Patrol Car at $25,916.50, which is the same price as the 2014 model year. SPC Extends Truck Equipment Contract with No Price Increase The SPC Governing Board has approved the first of three possible, one-year contract extensions on SPC Truck Equipment with Auto Truck Group of Bartlett. The contract runs from March 20, 2015 through March 19, 2016 and contains no price increases on the following items:

The SPC reserves the right to extend this contract for up to two (2) additional one-year terms upon mutual agreement of both the vendor and the SPC on a negotiated basis. GM Announces Chevy Tahoe Factory Order Cut Off Date General Motors has announced that April 16th is the factory order cutoff date for the 2015 Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC) Chevrolet Tahoe Police Package. The original award to Currie Motors Chevrolet of Forest Park runs through April 10, 2015 and the SPC is working on the first of three possible one-year contract extensions, as well as a rollover for 2016 models. SPC Awards Price Increase to Alternate Vendor on Sewer Cleaner Trucks The SPC Governing Board has approved 2015 price increases to alternate vendor EJ Equipment of Manteno, IL for the Vac-Con 10 Yard Fan Catch Basin/Sewer Cleaner with Auxiliary Engine and Vac-Con 12 Yard Fan Catch Basin/Sewer Cleaner with Auxiliary Engine. New prices are as follows:

Update on SPC Ford Super Duty Truck Contracts Staff has received multiple calls about the SPC Ford Super Duty Truck contracts. The factory cutoff date has passed for 2015 models and Ford Motor Company has yet to release 2016 pricing on the Ford Super Duty Trucks. The SPC Governing Board has requested contract extensions on the following, but we are waiting for Ford’s decision:

Ford will agree to the contract extensions with justifiable price increases that will need to be approved by the SPC Governing Board 3. Ford will not agree to the contract extensions and the vehicles will need to be rebid

SPC Chevy Tahoe Patrol Package Contract Update The Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC) contract for the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe Patrol Packages with Currie Motors Chevrolet of Forest Park runs through April 11, 2015. The SPC Governing Board submitted a request for the first of three possible contract extensions, but is awaiting General Motors’ decision, which won’t be announced until sometime in April. In the meantime, Currie Motors has agreed to honor pricing through March and April during the application process.

IML Public Works Committee to Video Conference April 15 Meeting On Wednesday, April 15 at 10:00 a.m., the Illinois Municipal League (IML) Public Works Directors Committee is holding their next meeting in Bloomington. The Committee is comprised of municipal Public Works Directors, officials from across the State of Illinois and consulting engineers. In order to encourage additional participation from Public Works Directors who cannot travel to Bloomington for the meeting, it will be available by video conference at the Downers Grove Public Works conference room, 101 Walnut Avenue.
