Ford Announces Factory Cut Off on 2014 Explorer & Taurus Contracts The Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC) has been notified by Bredemann Ford of Glenview that Ford Motor Company has cut off factory orders on the 2014 model years for the Ford Explorer and Ford Taurus. Staff is awaiting 2015 model year pricing information from Ford, which will be considered by the SPC Governing Board in determining whether to extend the current contracts with the new pricing or seek new bids for these products. Let Call One Help You Gain Control of Your Phone Bills The Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC) Telecommunications vendor Call One invites all SPC members and contract participants to attend a lunch and learn meeting on the SPC Telecommunications Program. The session for NWMC members is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Northfield Village Hall, 361 Happ Road. This informative, 90 minute session will cover the following agenda:

• Reasons why analog services are experiencing increases of over 100% in the past couple years • Options available to avoid these increases • Overview of the 2014 SPC contract award • State of the telecommunications industry • Update on legacy services and new service offerings (POTS, PRI, SIP) • Low baud replacement program (Alarms, Water/SCADA, Radio Towers) • Call One product and services update • Q&A

Chrysler Extends Factory Cut Off Date on 2014 Dodge Charger Police Pursuit Vehicle Chrysler Motors recently announced that they have extended the factory order cut off date from April 30 to July 25, 2014 on the SPC 2014 Dodge Charger Police Pursuit Vehicle contract with Napleton Fleet Group, Westmont, IL. SPC Governing Board Awards 5 New 2015 Ford Super Duty Pick Up Truck Contracts The SPC Governing Board recently voted to award the following 2015 vehicle model year contracts based on the results of the bid openings, with the awards going to the lowest responsive, responsible vendors:

SPC Truck Equipment Contract Awarded to Auto Truck The SPC Governing Board has awarded the 2014 Truck Equipment contract to Auto Truck Group, Bartlett, IL for Standard 9’ & 11’ Heavy Duty Platforms; 9’ & 11’ Dump Bodies; 9’ & 11’ Dual Rear Wheel Service Body; and 9’ Plow Blade with Snow Deflector from March 20, 2014 through March 19, 2015. In addition to Auto Truck Group, bids were also sent to Currie Motors, Frankfort, IL; Monroe Truck Equipment, Joliet, IL; EJ Equipment, Manteno, IL and Power Equipment Leasing, Romeoville, IL.

SPC Approves Price Increase for Sewer Cleaner Trucks Alternate Vendor The SPC Governing Board has approved price increases submitted by EJ Equipment, Manteno, IL for 10 Yard and 12 Yard Fan Catch Basin Sewer Cleaner Contract #128 and #127. The price increases were due to manufacturer’s price increases to EJ Equipment by Trans Chicago Truck Group and by Vac Con for major components and are as follows: 2014 Vac-Con 10 Yard Combination Sewer Cleaner Alternate Contract #128 $266,229.00, or a 3.29% change over the 2012 price of $257,757.00 2014 Vac-Con 12 Yard Combination Sewer Cleaner Alternate Contract #127 $287,336.00, or a 4.72% change over the 2012 price of $274,374.00

Warehouse Direct to Offer Facility Tour On Wednesday, May 21, Warehouse Direct Workplace Solutions will host a tour of their new facility, 2100 S. Mount Prospect Road in Des Plaines. Warehouse Direct Workplace Solutions is the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC) program vendor for both the Office Supply and Janitorial Supply contracts. Municipal staff representing Purchasing, Administration, Public Works, Facilities, Police, Fire and IT Departments, as well as anyone who places orders for office supplies or janitorial supplies are encouraged to attend.

Tours will be held between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., with lunch served at noon. Product specialists will be on hand to answer questions and review the services Warehouse Direct offers, including office and janitorial supplies, managed print services, coffee & break room supplies, furniture design and promotional products. Participants will learn how to earn e-commerce rebates and take advantage of bundling office supply orders with janitorial supply orders through Warehouse Direct to save paperwork, time and money. Ford Extends Expedition Cut-Off Date The Suburban Purchasing Cooperative has been notified by Landmark Ford of Springfield that the factory order cut-off date for the 2014 Ford Expedition XL 4 Door 4×4 Special Services Vehicle has been extended from April 3 to April 24, 2014. SPC Extends Ford Explorer & Taurus Contracts The Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC) Governing Board has awarded the second of three possible one-year contract extensions on the 2015 Ford Explorer and Ford Taurus to Bredemann Ford of Glenview from June 1, 2014 through May 31, 2015. The price on the 2015 Explorer increased $1,143.00 or 4.66%, to $25,676.00. The price on the 2015 Ford Taurus also increased $113.00 or .53%, to $21,407.00. The SPC reserves the right to extend these contracts for one more one-year term upon mutual agreement of both the vendor and the SPC on a negotiated basis.
