Sergio Rodriguez selected as Summit mayor

Sergio Rodriguez has begun his new stint as Summit’s mayor for the next two years, and is asking residents to work with him to make the village “a great place to live and work,” according to a press release from the village.

The Village Board on Monday unanimously appointed Rodriguez to fill the 22 months remaining for the term of Joseph Strzelczyk, who was midway through his fifth term as mayor when he died May 17 at age 75 after an illness…Please click here to read Dennis Sullivan’s story in the Tribune/Daily Southtown.
