Deputy Chief of Police The Village of Richton Park (population 13,765) is seeking talented, experienced and motivated candidates for the position of Deputy Chief of Police. The Village of Richton Park is a mature community located in south Cook County, Illinois, approximately twenty-two (22) miles south of downtown Chicago. The Village of Richton Park spans along the famous Sauk Trail which was used by the Sauk and Pottawatomie tribes for moving between settlements and sacred areas, as well as being a stop along the Underground Railroad. The Village was incorporated in 1926, as the local Illinois Central Railroad Line crossing Sauk Trail became electrified. The Village lies adjacent to the communities of Matteson, Frankfort, Park Forest, and University Park. Fire Inspector/Firefighter Paramedic The Village of Richton Park (population 13,765) is seeking talented, experienced and motivated candidates for the position of Fire Inspector/Firefighter Paramedic. The Fire Inspector shall be responsible for all activities relating to fire inspection conducted within the Village of Richton Park. No supervisory duties or responsibilities, but has frequent contact with Village employees, residents, businesses and the general public.
