Residents in Lansing will likely see a bump in their tax bills as the Village Board plans to vote on the 2017 tax levy in December.
Trustee Terry Kapteyn, who chairs the board’s Finance Committee, said at Tuesday’s meeting that increased need in the Police and Fire department pension budgets will require a 4.9 percent bump in the total levy.
