Park Forest introduces Problem Oriented Policing Program

The Park Forest police Department introduced their new on-line Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Map, allowing residents to identify and contact their neighborhood POP Officer.

The Park Forest Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Program is an initiative that assigns one specific officer to one specific neighborhood for two reasons:

1) To help residents address quality of life issues that affect their neighborhood

2) To serve as their contact with the police department

Please click here to learn more about the Problem Oriented Policing Program, and how it can be used to keep neighborhoods safe. Residents can click on a specific neighborhood to find out who their neighborhood POP officer is and how to reach him or her. SSMMA assisted in creating this map, allowing one more way for our residents to better interact with their police department.
