New small business development center launches to serve the Southland

Please join us in welcoming our new small business development center, Illinois SBDC at SSEGI serving the Southland! This new resource center opened today, March 1. The SBDC will support existing business owners and help budding entrepreneurs get started. Staff will provide guidance for business growth through one-on-one confidential business consultation; assist with business, management and marketing plans; financial assessment and guidance; in-depth business training and more.
The center’s director, Vicki Foeman Brown, is a resourceful leader adept at implementing high-profile, image-based marketing programs and business development plans for both public and private industries.
The SBDC is a collaborative partnership between the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association (SSMMA) and the South Suburban Economic Growth Initiative (SSEGI), and funded by grants from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and Cook County.
