Major retail project proposed for Orland Park

Orland Park’s Plan Commission has endorsed a large retail project for one of the few undeveloped sites in the 159th Street business corridor.

Chicago-based GW Properties proposes several retail buildings on the 11-acre site in the 7400 block of 159th Street, with other uses at the rear of the property such as a small movie theater and housing for those 65 and older.

The site lies between Advance Auto Parts and Harbor Freight Tools to the west, the Goodwill Store and Wendy’s to the east and multi-family housing to the north and across 159th Street to the south…Please click here to read Dennis Sullivan’s story in the Tribune/Daily Southtown.
