Lobbyist says Sauk Village will get $385K in state grants


Al Ronan, a former state legislator-turned-lobbyist, informed village officials Tuesday they will receive some $385,000 in grants that will pay for repairs to local roads and parks.

Ronan, whose lobbying firm is used by Sauk Village and other area municipalities to represent their interests at the Statehouse in Springfield, made a presentation to the Village Board about the spring 2014 legislative session and what local benefits were obtained.

Those included a $135,000 grant to pay for improvements at two local parks, and three other grants totaling $250,000 for general infrastructure improvements…Please click here to read Gregory Tejeda’s story in the Times.
