The Illinois Tollway will host a public open house as part of the agency’s ongoing work on the $719 million Tri-State Tollway (I-294)/I-57 Interchange Project.

Tuesday, June 25, 2019, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Illinois Department of Employment Security (South Suburban Cook County American Job Center) 16845 S. Halsted Street Harvey, IL 60426

The Illinois Tollway is advancing work in 2019 to complete the interchange connecting I-294 to I-57. This final stage of work scheduled for 2019-2022 will build ramps providing access to and from Chicago, improving regional mobility that began with the completion of ramps providing access to and from Champaign in 2014.

The open house will provide the opportunity for the Tollway to share 2019 construction information with customers, residents and businesses, as well as introduce the Illinois Tollway’s ConstructionWorks Program designed to link job seekers with opportunities for rewarding careers in Illinois’ high-demand transportation related construction industry.

For those unable to attend, information is posted and updated regularly on the Tollway’s website Explore Projects at illinoistollway.com/projects. Comments and questions can also be shared with the Tollway online at illinoistollway.com or via email at 294tristate@getipass.com.  A related story, Work to start on next phase of linking I-294 and I-57, is in the Tribune/Daily Southtown.
