From Crestwood Mayor Lou Presta:

Fellow Mayors, We are rallying for game day, our second annual “Battle in the Burbs,” raising money and awareness for Special Olympics; a cause dear to our first responders. I invite each of you to play, as we match skill on the field against our fire and police chiefs. We promise laughs, lots of pictures, and first responders on hand to ice those aches and pains. Additionally, for your participation, proceeds from the event will benefit your municipality in the form of a donation to Special Olympics. Get your townspeople out here; promote it on your website as a great family night out, for $5 per ticket. Post on social media and get the buzz going. WLS has offered to help sponsor and hopes to have radio personality, Dick Biondi, as part of the evenings’ events. Showcase your community with support, and your talents under the bright lights of Standard Bank Stadium, 14011 Kenton Ave. in Crestwood, on Sunday, July 20th at 5 p.m. A VIP room will be arranged for all your pregame and post game needs. Give Laura Brown a call with your shirt size at Fanning Communications at 708-293-1430 and make your commitment to “play ball”. As always, call me, Mayor Lou Presta, with any questions regarding the event. Thank you on behalf of Special Olympics for your participation and look forward to an outstanding roster on the part of our Southside Mayors.
