July 18: Public workshop to learn about/provide feedback on On To 2050 Alternate Futures

From April through August 2017, CMAP is conducting intensive public engagement around five Alternative Futures that could shape our region for decades to come: Changed Climate, Walkable Communities, Innovative Transportation, Constrained Resources, and Transformed Economy. Residents can comment via interactive kiosks, public workshops, online surveys, videos, forums, or using #2050BigIdeas on Twitter or Facebook. A draft Preview Report of anticipated ON TO 2050 recommendations is now available for public comment through August 3.  Read more.

On Tuesday, July 18, 2017, the Village of Richton Park and CMAP will host a public workshop to discuss ON TO 2050 and the Alternative Futures at the Richton Park Community Center from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Join them for a conversation about the five futures and to share your feedback on how planning today can help shape the future of the region. CMAP will carefully consider all input while drafting the comprehensive regional plan prior to its adoption in October 2018. Learn more about Alternative Futures and how to get involved at www.cmap.illinois.gov/onto2050/futures.
