Accelerate Indoor Speedway, which opened late last year at 8580 Springlake Drive in Mokena, will hold its grand opening next week with a host of events including a go-kart race featuring local officials. Accelerate’s 75,000 square-foot facility has 45 adult carts and 16 junior carts. They are electric and will be powered in part from solar energy gleaned from panels on the roof.
