Illinois’ tax burden ranks lower than about half the country, according to a report released Wednesday.
Illinois was ranked 27th among 50 states and the District of Columbia, for business income that goes toward state and local taxes including property taxes, license taxes and fees, corporate income tax unemployment compensation and sales taxes, among others.
