As a painter, Steve Soltis knows it takes time and imagination to turn a blank canvas into something memorable.
It’s a similar path he and his partners are taking as they convert a historic Thornton building that housed several breweries into liquor distilling business, Soltis Family Spirits.
There also is a personal connection for Soltis and a bit of family history tied to the building, although it’s a history that, when he was younger, he said, Soltis was a bit ashamed of.
