Freight traffic in Will County and flooding and economic development in
Ford Heights will be some of the issues the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning will study in helping develop comprehensive plans for those areas, the agency recently announced.
As part of CMAP’s Local Technical Assistance program, the agency will work with officials in Will County on a comprehensive transportation and land use plan that county officials hope will result in more coordinated transportation and land-use policies as the region grapples with increased heavy truck traffic, according to the county’s application…Please click here to read Mike Nolan’s story in the Tribune/Daily Southtown.
