The South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association along with dignitaries, family, friends, partners and associates held a heartwarming “19th Hole” sendoff for retiring Edward Paesel at the Lincolnshire Country Club in Crete on Feb. 3.
Park Forest Mayor and SSMMA President John Ostenburg presented Ed with a Retirement Achievement Award Plaque on behalf of the association, as well as a retirement book of proclamations, resolutions and congratulatory letters from contributors including U.S. Congressman Bobby Rush; IL State Senator Michael Hastings; IL House of Representatives Will Davis, Al Riley, Thaddeus Jones, Anthony DeLuca, Robert Rita, Marcus Evans Jr. and Elgie Sims Jr.; Cook County Board of Commissioners Edward Moody and Deborah Sims and Board President Toni Preckwinkle; and the Villages of Crete, East Hazel Crest, Flossmoor, Matteson, Mokena, Park Forest, Richton Park, South Holland and Thornton.
The Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle ran a story about Ed’s retirement back in December. Click here to read it.
