Demolition of old Sam’s Club store in Lansing to start in May

LANSING | Village officials say they expect the one-time Sam’s Club warehouse store to be demolished in May to make way for a proposed Super Walmart that officials hope to be complete before Thanksgiving.

Demolition already has begun on a one-time Babies ‘R’ Us store located nearby, with half of the structure at 17675 Torrence Ave. to remain as a smaller retail store.
