Background on the Calumet Green Manufacturing Partnership  and the Manufacturing Careers Internship ProgramThe Calumet Green Manufacturing Partnership’s (CGMP) primary goal is to enhance the manufacturing industry in the Millennium Reserve/Calumet region by addressing the labor/skills mismatch and promote careers in manufacturing to ensure a competitive workforce, which is a key asset for regional economic development.

The Manufacturing Careers Internship Program (MCIP), sponsored by the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership, directly addresses local workforce demand by providing mentoring, guidance, education and training to prepare WIA-eligible youth ages 18 – 21 for a rewarding career in manufacturing. To watch a video presentation of MCIP click here.
