A new push is underway to expand casino gambling in Illinois, this time as part of a package of proposed revenue and spending legislation that supporters say could lead to approval of a six-month state budget.
Illinois has been without a budget for two years now as our Republican governor and the Democratic leaders of the Legislature persist in being unable to agree on anything.
