City of Oak Forest names David Griffin new fire chief

The City of Oak Forest has named David Griffin as its new fire chief, effective immediately. Griffin’s appointment was approved by the Oak Forest City Council on Tuesday, June 10.

“Anyone who knows Dave knows he is passionate about being a firefighter,” said City Administrator Troy Ishler. “That passion came across when he interviewed for the position and in the many letters of recommendation that his peers wrote supporting his appointment as fire chief.
