Dear Civic Leaders and First Responders, Summer is nearly upon us, and the time for the annual “Battle in the Burbs” event is fast approaching. As many of you remember from years past, this popular event brings together representatives from each of the south suburbs to promote each of our municipalities and to raise money for the benefit of Special Olympics.
For the third year, the Battle in the Burbs pits south suburban municipal leaders against south suburban police and fire chiefs in an epic match of 16-inch softball. This year’s game will take place Sunday, Aug. 16th, at 2:30pm, at the Crestwood confines of Standard Bank Stadium. Read more here. Please click here for the event flyer.
