Story teller Susan O’Halloran headlined this year’s Diversity, Inc’s 19th annual dinner and awards celebration on Oct. 8, at the Olympia Fields Country Club. Nearly 200 guests attended. Congratulations to: Jay S. Readey, executive director of Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, who was honored with a Diversity 2014 award; Illinois State Rep. William Davis who was recognized with an Achievement award; Vickie Perkins, a South Holland Youth Commissioner, who was awarded a Community Spirit award; and Michael Nylen who was celebrated with David A. Janks Community Vitality award. Illinois Sen. Toi Hutchinson was master of ceremonies for the event. BMO Harris Bank was the dinner sponsor.
