The Chicago Southland Convention and Visitors Bureau held a National Tourism Day Reception honoring the state’s Bicentennial Celebration on May 2 at their offices in Lansing. Tourism brings people to our state to experience all that makes us proud to be from Illinois. According to the CSCVB, in 2016 visitors spent more than $38 billion offsetting taxes for residents in the region.
