Manufacturing is back and one of the industries with high-paying jobs available. Many companies have an older workforce and are facing a future shortage of workers. Over the past few months representatives from Prairie State College have been meeting with manufacturing companies to find out what skills workers need and what training the college can offer to fill that skills shortage. An outcome from those meetings are new noncredit manufacturing courses.
