Orland Park spotlights the message of kindness through an Orland Park Has Heart campaign, and it’s calling on artists to illustrate that message for a villagewide art contest.

The art contest, sponsored by the village’s Arts Commission, is the first village-sponsored contest and includes cash prizes for two categories: under 18, and 18 and up. Each category’s grand-prize winner will receive $300; second place will win $150, and third place will win $50.

Orland Park residents of all ages are invited to submit their art — any medium is welcome — reflecting “Orland Park Has Heart,” the theme of Mayor Dan McLaughlin’s 2016 state of the village address…Please click here to read Angelika Labno’s story in the Tribune/Daily southtown.
