The Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation will provide an overview of current and planned South Cook/Eastern Will County transportation infrastructure and investment programs supporting logistics opportunities in the region
Speaker: Reggie Greenwood, Director of Economic Development for the Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation and the South Suburban Mayors and Managers; Introduction by: Michael Scholefield, President of the Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation
Reggie Greenwood has significant experience in public economic development and private sector management of manufacturing companies. Reggie has developed and manages an economic development program based on promoting the expansion of manufacturing employment. The program involves projects in four related areas: workforce, site development, makers movement, and infrastructure planning. He was a partner and manager of a manufacturing company with 60 employees before successfully selling the firm to a larger firm at which he worked for three years. His education includes an undergraduate degree in accounting and a Masters Degree in Regional Planning with a concentration in economic development.
