May 25–26: Lynwood to host American Cornhole Organization’s Midwest Major

Southland Center, A Ho-Chunk Nation Enterprise located in Lynwood, Ill. is hosting American Cornhole Organization (ACO), Midwest Major. This event takes place Friday & Saturday, May 25–26, 2018 at 10 Southland Drive, Lynwood, IL 60411.

American Cornhole Organization, is the governing body for the sport of cornhole. The game is known by the alternative name of “Bags” and is rising in popularity; some players are in a league of semi-professionals that now tour the nation to play every weekend. Established in 2005, and headquartered in Milford, Ohio, the ACO offers official cornhole rules, sanctioned products, tournament listings, and comprehensive information about cornhole events. Cornhole has a competition component, with $68k in cash and prizes on the line at the American Cornhole Organization’s World Championship in Montgomery, AL July 24-28.

“The popularity of cornhole is credited to the fact that anyone can participate in this sport. We have highly competitive players ranging in age from 13 to 75, male and female playing our sport. The sport is portable and easy to play making it great for everyone,” stated Frank Geers of the American Cornhole Organization.
