Lansing considering salary changes for public officials

The Lansing Village Board discussed changing the salaries of public officials during a committee of the whole meeting Tuesday.

The issue was first raised by Trustee Patty Eidam in October.

Village President Norm Abbott said his current salary is $10,000 plus an additional $5,000 for being liquor commissioner. Abbott is retired from a career in insurance and will not be up for re-election in 2017 due to term limit restrictions.
