I-294/I-57 Interchange Project- Phase 2 set to begin in spring 2019

Illinois Tollway:

1. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in Spring 2019 for I-294/I-57 Interchange Project – Phase 2.

2. Phase 2 includes:
   

3. Median work on I-57 north of I-294

4. Ramp pavement

5. Reconstruction of I-57/147th Toll Plaza

6. Installation of retaining walls

7. Construction of a flyover ramp on I-294/I-57/Dixie Creek

8. Construction of southbound and northbound CSX Railroad bridges

All work will be coordinated with the Illinois Department of Transportation and local communities. The project is expected to be complete by 2022.
