East Hazel Crest honors Clerk Helen Minnis for 50 years of service

The Village of East Hazel Crest honored Clerk Helen M. Minnis for 50 years of dedicated municipal service at the Dec. 9 board meeting. The community plans to construct a park named in her honor on the corner of Center Avenue and 174th Street by the spring of 2016. Click here to see a rendering. Before being elected as clerk, she served three former clerks as Assistant Water Collector and Deputy Clerk.

Fire Chief William Vallow was also on hand to present an award from the Volunteer Fire Department. Click here for a photo.
