Derrick Burgess takes the oath becoming Sauk Village’s 8th Mayor

“Today is a new day for Sauk Village and we begin our journey on the pathway to progress” Mayor Derrick Burgess told a packed village hall on May 9. “The people spoke loudly in the last election, they want change, they want their village government to raise the standards of our community and address the problems we face” he said. Burgess outlined his 100 day plan and said he will submit for adoption his Strategic Plan for Progress. “This is a blueprint and a foundation for the future of Sauk Village”
