2014 Community-Police Partnership grant opportunity

The Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) is now accepting applications for the 2014 MetLife Foundation Community-Police Partnership Awards. The awards recognize innovative partnerships between community groups and police to promote neighborhood safety and revitalization.  The application deadline is March 9, 2014. Winning partnerships receive monetary awards ranging from $15,000 to $30,000 and their work will be promoted to a wide audience of practitioners, policymakers and academics. The 2014 awards are offering nine categories, each emphasizing different models of community-police collaboration (detailed category descriptions are available on page 3-4 of the application instructions).
